Product Owner required for my client an internationally recognised specialist in connected date software. Maximising the value of the product by engaging with the user community to identify feature problems and opportunities, articulating these to the development team and managing the backlog.

Core responsibilities -

Product ownership

* Identifying user stories associated with projects and creating requirements designs
* Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout your projects
* Unblocking the development team by mitigating impediments to release / sprint goals
* Working with the development manager to ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of tasks to work on
* Running project kickoffs
* Attending development team standups, sprint retrospectives and demosCapturing feature requests, ideas and support issues in our product management backlog tool
* Providing backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
* Planning and prioritising product feature backlog and development for the product
* Assessing value, developing cases, and prioritising stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
* Following competitors and the industry
* Preparing and presenting at our quarterly Developer forum webinar
* Attending customer events, such as our CDVC consortium, to get first hand experience of customer requirements

Key experience required -

Skills - essential

* In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
* Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
* Creative thinker with a vision
* Attention to details
* The ability to strike a balance between creativity and being details oriented
* Knowledge of a software language (especially JavaScript)
* Some experience with data visualisation products
