Quality Manager

Due to growth & investment, an established manufacturer of bespoke technical applications are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Manager to join their team.

Purpose of Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quality Manager will be responsible for all day to day Quality Assurance activities and issues ensuring compliance with the required quality standards.

You will drive & instil a culture of Continuous Improvement throughout the site by revising and implementing business processes to ensure customer expectations are met.

The Quality Manager will be tasked with managing and developing the Quality Department to maximise its effectiveness in fulfilling its objectives.

The Successful Candidate will have:



* Demonstrable experience in a Quality Engineering role in a supervisory capacity.
* Experience in a busy manufacturing facility with a good understanding of International Quality Standards
* Knowledge of Military OR Defence standards is required
* Ability to gain Security Clearance



Responsibilities Overview:

* Provide Quality Engineering resource & expertise to facilitate the successful completion of customer deliverables in line with customer and company requirements
* Maintain and develop internal Quality Management Systems
* Conducting internal audits
* Managing the Corrective Action System to close any gaps & weaknesses identified in the QMS
* Ongoing review & appropriate escalation of QMS status with Senior Management
* External Audits
* Implementing process improvements
* Be the Company representative with customer and accreditation bodies with regards to Quality, Approvals, Audit & Appraisals
* Supplier Development / Supplier Quality
* Departmental appraisals, managing resources & budget and staff training
