Due to continued growth, a globally recognised manufacturer of safety critical components is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

Project Manager

The Project Manager will ensure the OTIF delivery of on-going and new manufacturing programmes. You will be main point of contact for customers with regards to large projects in manufacturing.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a similar role in an Electronics, Defence OR Aerospace Manufacturing environment.

The Candidate:

* Proven Project Manager within a similar environment, managing both small and large complex projects and international customers.
* Experience of managing multiple projects through all phases of the lifecycle
* Hands on experience and knowledge of using key PM methodologies and processes
* Proven delivery of projects to customers OTIF and to budget
* Experience of managing multi-disciplined teams
* Experience of calculating margins & build profitability models
* Bids and Proposals for new business
* Proven knowledge of product costing methodologies

Job Responsibilities:

* Develop Project Management processes, infrastructure & resources and ensure that they are fully understood by all stakeholders
* Act as the point of escalation for customer issues within individual programmes
* Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure that "Design to Cost" objectives are defined and managed throughout the life of the development program
* Responsible for developing, approving & implementing plans to achieve cost and schedule reductions wherever possible
* Managing complex development programs through to completion
* Present progress to both customers and senior management on a frequent basis
* Provide input into the compilation of RFQ's
* Highlight any issues / risks that could affect program costs & delivery schedules and immediately escalate to Senior Management within the business.
* Responsible for resolving resource conflicts between differing programs and other business priorities
* To prepare & present program status to Senior Management including financials, along with timelines & costs to completion, allied to risks & opportunities and mitigating actions.
* Have a good technical understanding of the company's products
* Assist in the generation of RFQ's by providing cost inputs & schedules
* Ensure revenues are maximised by ensuring project variations are monitored, costed and formally issued to customers in a timely manner.
