HR Advisor/Officer

Due to continued growth, a globally recognised manufacturer of safety critical components is looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor / Officer to join their team.

HR Advisor / Officer

As HR Advisor, you will provide advice & support to all personnel on site with regards to personnel matters.

Whilst this is site based, you may on occasion have to travel to other plants to assist when necessary.

The Candidate:

* Experience in a HR role
* Experience in the Defence / Aerospace industry is advantageous but not essential

* Professionally recognised qualifications e.g. Certificate in HR practice or similar
* Experience with managing vetting / SC processes (Desirable)
* Currently hold or have the ability to obtain Security Clearance

Job Responsibilities:

* Assist with internal Recruitment from "cradle to grave" including taking job briefs from hiring managers, liaising with the company preferred recruitment agencies, interviewing applicants, completion of Offers / Contracts & Referencing
* Undertake inductions with new employees
* Prepare HR / Personnel reports for hiring managers
* Monitor employees attendance and report to management / payroll accordingly
* Manage the planning of plant meetings / briefings
* Assist in annual reviews / appraisals and document conversations held AND plan/document any training that is agreed
* Carry out interviews with employees leaving the business and ensure all company property is returned
* New employees - ensure systems are set up correctly for any new personnel
* Be the point of contact for all customer security issues
* Responsible for carrying out Security Clearance application process for new employees
* Manage arrangements for visitors including signing in and where applicable organise catering, room set up & allocation
