Senior Project Manager

A leading manufacturer of safety critical applications for the Automotive sector, is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their established team.

Purpose of Role:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from cradle to grave, to achieve 100% OTIF delivery to cost and quality.

The Successful Candidate (Skills & Experience):

* Experienced Project Manager in the Automotive manufacturing sector with hands on knowledge of JLR, Ford & Daimler program management

* Expertise in at least one of the following: Powertrain Cooling Systems, Plastics, Metals/Fabrication OR Assembly

* New Product Introduction

* New Model Launch Control Systems



* PPAP / APQP / DFMEA / PFMEA
* Conversant with ISO9000 & TS16949 Quality Management Systems
* Lean Manufacturing
* Ability to travel both UK & Internationally where required for customer/supplier visits
* Microsoft Project

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Engineering Director on a day to day basis the key roles & responsibilities are:

* Produce timing plans for running projects
* Regularly update on project delivery status, ensuring successful delivery OTIF to cost & budget.
* Identify issues which may affect OTIF delivery and manage accordingly
* Manage project scope changes as required by the customer
* Attend Customer & Supplier sites as required (UK & International)
* In conjunction with Purchasing, manage suppliers of equipment and tooling to ensure correct specification, production approval & costings
* Lead programme requirements for REACH and Vehicle End of Life regulations
* Lead feasibility reviews
* Support design with prototype development & production to ensure design, manufacturing & program objectives
* Maintain and modify policies, procedures, processes & documents as required to meet customer quality standards.
* Assist in Design & Test functions supporting development of DFMEA / PFMEA / DVPR
