Customer Support Specialist

A leading manufacturer of complex safety critical applications is looking to recruit a Customer Support Specialist due to continued growth.

Reporting to the United States, this will be a standalone role based in the UK. You therefore must be self-motivated and capable of working on your own with minimal supervision. However, internal support/guidance is available as required.

Purpose of Role:

Reporting to the Customer Support Manager based in the US, you will be tasked with responding to and providing satisfactory outcomes to customer enquiries in a timely manner.

The Successful Candidate (Skills & Experience):

* Experience in a Customer Service, Internal Sales or similar role in a fast paced environment (manufacturing environment preferred but not essential)
* Must be IT Literate in Microsoft Office Suite including word processing & spreadsheets
* ERP systems (Advantageous)
* Attention to detail
* Time management - ability to prioritise workload & manage own time
* Problem solving - ability to suggest & evaluate alternative solutions
* Flexibility to working hours to be able to talk to customers worldwide (time difference)
* Able & willing to learn technical aspects of products which the company offers


* Support field Sales personnel
* Develop good customer relations and ensure their needs & expectations are met
* Input orders received on the internal ERP system
* Prepare Quotes and input into the ERP system
* Track orders and keep the customer updated with shipment dates ensuring it is delivered on time, informing customers of any delays
* Issue returns
* Submit freight claims
* Provide technical assistance on products & create material lists from specification drawings (assistance will be provided)
* Make changes to Bills of Materials where required
* Complete owner manuals & customer submittals
