Business Development Manager (Competitive Salary DOE)

A globally recognised manufacturer of safety critical components, is looking to recruit an experienced and results driven Business Development Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will have a proven knowledge of RADARS and associated applications.

Therefore applications will be considered from:

Candidates with experience in a BDM/Sales role selling RADARS and associated applications into the Defence/Military/Aerospace sectors OR

Those with a background in a hands-on Engineering role with proven technical knowledge of RADARS and associated applications who is either looking for a Sales/Business Development role or has already moved into a Sales/Business Development position, seeking a new challenge

Purpose of Role:

Reporting to the European Director of Sales, you will deliver on the company strategy of profitable growth of existing and new products to a global market.

The Sales & Business Development Manager will support and identify opportunities for new products and customers to deliver the required ongoing level of sales and profitability.

The Successful Candidate:

* Candidates with experience in a BDM/Sales role selling RADARS and associated applications into the Defence/Military/Aerospace sectors OR
* Background in a hands-on Engineering role with proven technical knowledge of RADARS and associated applications who is either looking for a Sales/Business Development role OR has already moved into a Sales/Business Development position, seeking a new challenge
* Ability & willingness to travel globally
* Radar system and applied applications knowledge
* Ability to dissect complex information and present to non-subject matter experts in a clear & concise manner
* Full UK Driving License
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* To be successful you MUST have the ability to gain Security Clearance



Responsibilities Overview:

* Deliver the agreed budgets
* Identify Sales opportunities for new products
* Develop & execute account development plans to promote growth
* Develop strong customer relationships
* Create and manage Customer/Market/Product Road Maps to deliver strategic & operational objectives
* Work with the Senior Management team to provide required information for management reports, reviews, forecasts, annual plan preparation & strategy plan
* Attend exhibitions & seminars and where necessary provide product training
* Prepare & present bid submissions in conjunction with relevant departments/personnel
* Assist in negotiation of customer contracts and associated terms.
