The client are the leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic products and systems. The company were formed in the 1980's and are enjoying success and growth year on year. They are seeking to strengthen their team further with this position.
Duties to include are;
Carry out maintenance repairs, improvements, modifications & installations on plant machinery within the company.
Carry out proactive work including PPM.
Involvement in assembly project work.
Supporting shift lead engineers in maintaining plant and equipment in line with customer service.
Implement and adhere to safe working practises in accordance to legislation.
Mentor maintenance apprentices.
I welcome applications from candidates who hold the following skills and expertise;
A time served maintenance engineer/technician with strong technical knowledge in automated assembly and packaging machinery.
Any injection moulding or extrusion experience would be a distinct advantage.
Mechanical and electrical experience within a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
Hold an electrical qualification such as an ONC or HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar.
Excellent time management skills.
Able to work weekend shifts (Fri, Sat & Sun) - days and nights weekly rotating.
Great communicator at all levels.
The company is based just outside of Rotherham so is easily commutable from Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop, Scunthorpe.
