The business is a global manufacturer, and supplier of environmentally friendly packaging for a wide range of industries. They have a huge manufacturing site based in Merseyside, with a range of production packaging lines, robots, traditional cutting machinery, printing and labelling lines, and various other bespoke equipment. This site employs over 80 staff across a split shift system, with future growth plans in the next 12 months to expand both machining capability and head count.
Benefits include a salary of up to £38K, but would be negotiable for the right person, overtime availability, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension scheme with up to 7% employer contributions, opt in healthcare package after probation, free parking and other benefits.
Working hours are 37hrs per week spread across rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts.
Responsibilities for the role include -
- Carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance to all equipment and facilities - Investigate breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance and repairs - Undertake both electrical and mechanical repairs, servicing and replacement of parts - Supporting PPM's and provide continuous improvement - Carry out analysis and investigations using failure mode analysis and route cause analysis tools (5 whys) - Report conclusions to the manager make recommendations for improvements - To comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines - Supporting the manager with facilitating the in house CMMS We would love to hear from you if you've had experience in the following -
- Multi skilled engineer, shift maintenance engineer, electrical engineer, machine technician - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in either mechanical or electrical engineering - A background in manufacturing machinery, and ideally an understanding of robots - Be able to carry out repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems - Strong knowledge of TPM's and PPM's - Understand and interpret Electrical & mechanical drawings and schematics - PC Literacy to ensure all maintenance schedules and charts are updates correctly
