As a Mould/Press Toolmaker, you will -

• Manufacture, repair and modify injection mould and press tools in line with production schedules and target completion dates
• Work with engineering drawings, a range of ferrous/non-ferrous and non-metallic materials to produce tools
• Use equipment such as Wire and Spark EDM machinery, milling, turning and surface/cylindrical grinding machines

We are keen to hear from any applicants who have -

• Served a recognised tooling apprenticeship
• A minimum of an ONC in an Engineering discipline
• Practical experience of working on injection mould / press tools

• A salary of £34,000 - £36,000
• 40 hours per week - 8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

• Carry out tool changes, material and colour changes
• Condition setting of machines
• Ensure all robotics and ancillary equipment are in operation
• Recommend modifications/ improvements to increase productivity, improve quality and/or reduce waste
• Trouble shoot processes and correct as necessary with documentation as required

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter, the ideal candidate will -

• Be an experienced Injection Moulding Setter or Technician
• Be able to carry out condition setting, and have knowledge of various materials
• Have experience of trouble-shooting moulding issues
• Have a strong interest in lean manufacturing / process improvement and want to help take the business forward.

They also have the biggest team of field service engineers across the UK & Ireland, providing a comprehensive and reliable service to all of their customers.

• Developing customer relationships and providing a high level of customer care on site
• Provide technical and troubleshooting support to the customer as required
• Travel from home to site covering your own region, but must be prepared to work within the UK and Ireland when required

The team includes a diverse range of multi skilled breakdown engineers, hotline support staff on the phone, plus a team routine engineers across the UK, all in strategic areas of the country too to provide full and comprehensive support.

All work is planned at least a week in advance, so you have full heads up on what the following week looks like

We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -

- Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Service Engineer, Apprentice Maintenance Fitter,
- Apprentice trained in mechanical, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Good knowledge of fault finding, and mechanical repairs to production machinery
- Willingness to travel nationally, and to Ireland and be prepared to stay overnight if required
