A leading manufacturer of plastic products are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the team and support in the maintenance of all ancillary equipment and conveyors in the Injection Moulding and Regrind departments.

£38,000-42,000, Monday to Friday, rotating weekly between 0700-1500 and 1500-2300.

Reporting to the Production Manager, your duties as Maintenance Engineer will include -

• Carrying out safety audits on all equipment as required.
• Troubleshooting machine malfunctions.
• Maintaining all ancillary equipment and conveyors in the Injection Moulding and Regrind departments.
• Developing a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) plan and timely completion of work carried out.
• Monitoring equipment performance and maintain detailed maintenance records for each machine.
• Support with general site maintenance and oversee site contractors working in the Injection Moulding department.

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will -

• Be apprentice served or a professionally qualified engineer / technician
• Have experience with maintenance and repair of injection moulding machinery or other types of plastics processing machinery
• Be experienced in both electrical and mechanical engineering, hydraulics and pneumatics.

This role will focus on achieving the production of high-quality products while maximising productivity and maintaining a safe environment.

As Injection Moulding Setter your duties will include -

• Tool changing, condition setting and trouble shooting
• Working closely with the Production Manager to reduce machine downtime as outlined in SMED guidelines, improve cycle times, minimise scrap, and any other improvement projects required
• Work with senior supervisors, process engineer and QC's, to process and monitor to ensure that the required quality standards are maintained

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter, the ideal candidate will -

• Have experience as a plastic injection moulding Setter or Technician
• Be able to carry out tool changes and condition set machines

These positions play a key role in ensuring manufacturing levels are maintained whilst keeping quality levels to customer standards.

Opportunities exist on either a day shift or on a Monday-Thursday night shift, with a salary of £30,000-36,000 depending on shift and experience.

As Injection Moulding Technician, your duties will include -

• Carrying out tool changes.
• Setting machines.
• Trouble shooting process / moulding issues.
• Trialling of new tools (depending on your capabilities).

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Technician, you will -

• Have experience within plastic injection moulding and hold the same job title, or similar, such as Toolsetter, Injection Moulding Setter or Process Technician.
• Be able to carry out tool changes, condition setting and trouble shooting.
• Have worked with various polymers, and have knowledge of their properties.
