As part of their growth plan, they're looking to hire experienced applications engineers into the team. They have a head office here in the UK for equipment storage, refurbishment, and distribution, as well as a global headquarters outside of the UK where the equipment is built.

Responsibilities for the CNC Applications Engineer include -

• Design and preparation of customer demo's, as well as creating programmes and cycle time estimations for projects
• Providing turnkey solutions to customers with efficient programming of parts or brand new jobs
• Programming of FANUC multi axis lathes using CAM software and long hand using G&M code
• Assisting with brand new machine commissioning both at head office, and on site with customers
• Providing customers and end users with training, troubleshooting and applications support
• Use of various types of CAM Packages for producing programmes

You'll be working within an already established team of engineers, collaborating and working towards the same goal, so being able to work effectively with colleagues, as well as representing the brand on site with customers is absolutely essential.

A lot of travel will be required in this role too, so having the flexibility to cover various areas of the UK, and work away from home with overnight stays is also essential.

We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -

- Applications Engineer, Turning Applications specialist CNC Programmer, CAM Programmer, CNC Manufacturing Engineer
- Ability to programme turning lathes, and ideally machining centres
- Strong knowledge of at least 2 types of CAM software packages
- Experience working with FANUC controls
- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license

• Prepare and prove machining methods and programs designed to provide solutions to customers' manufacturing problems.
• Working on a range of multi axis lathes and mills based at head office
• Occasional travel to customer sites for demos and training, with possible trips to Scandinavia and Ireland too

They have been wining high value agreements across the country and they now have a foothold in the Berkshire area. To enable them to deliver on their promise and ensure a smooth service, this position is imperative to their success.

This opportunity will allow the suitable candidate rapid career progression into a workshop supervisor, being responsible for your own team of HGV Mechanics & Vehicle Technicians.

Some of your key responsibilities as an HGV Mechanic -

• Maintenance of a large fleet of vehicles such as Class 2, 7.5t,Transit Vans & 4x4's
• Ensure all vehicles are working correctly & ready for use
• Work alongside the mechanical team to make sure assignments are completed.

We would love to hear from HGV Mechanic that -

• Has a recognised a mechanical qualification (City Guilds/NVQ level3 in heavy vehicle maintenance & repair)
• Able to carry out general chassis service work
• Can fault find on electrical & mechanical equipment
• Are familiar with Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems

Responsibilities for the service engineer include -

• Breakdown repairs and maintenance of CNC Machines including multi axis Mills and Lathes
• Routine service and inspections, as well as fault finding
• Carrying out mechanical and minor electrical repairs to ballscrews, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors
• Machine levelling and alignments
• Installation and commissioning of machinery on site
• Ordering of parts from the office, replacing and retrofitting
• Providing end user training and customer support both remotely and on site
• Travel from home to site covering regionally to your location on service and breakdown, but be prepared to travel nationally when installation & commissioning projects are required.

They have over 30 trained technicians across the UK, along with office based technical support staff at the end of the phone for troubleshooting support.

Product training provided, along with job shadowing with engineers in the team

We would love to hear from suitable candidates with the following skills and experience

- Previous experience as a CNC service engineer, or service technician
- Confidence with either electrical or mechanical breakdowns of machinery
- Experience working with either FANUC or Siemens controls
- Good knowledge of fault-finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspections
- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license

No call out is required with this role, weekend overtime has to be pre-authorized by both client and head office before being offered out to the team.
