They also have a highly experienced team of staff across all the divisions of manufacturing, along with team leaders, supervisors and managers who are responsible for their own respective departments.
This position is based on a night shift, 39hrs per week Monday to Thursday. There may be occasional shift based cover during holidays which would include additional shift pay.
Benefits include a salary of up to £41,600 inc shift allowance, quarterly bonuses, 33 days holiday including bank holidays, a company pension scheme with matched contributions up to 7.5%, and various other benefits
Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor engineer include -
- To ensure the department achieves all set KPI's for efficiency and cost control
- Ensuring all department health & safety is adhered to, by carrying out risk assessments, audits and investigations
- Production planning, by understanding customer requirements, material and capacity demands
- Coaching, mentoring and daily management of a team of up to 20 staff
- Driving continuous improvement by championing 6S and lean manufacturing exercises
- Introducing methods, ideas and changes required to ensure planned efficiency targets and budget constraints are met
To be successful in the role of Production Supervisor, the ideal candidate will have -
- Previous experience in a technical manufacturing environment, supervising daily operations and workflow
- A formal qualification within an engineering discipline, C&G or HNC preferably
- Effective staff management skills, to ensure the team are motivated and performing well
- Confident with manufacturing processes and lean methodologies such as ToC, 6S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5why's
- Be able to use SAP or a similar package to manage the recording of KPI's and critical data, as well as Microsoft office packages

Responsibilities for the maintenance engineer include -
- To provide electrical maintenance to a range of machinery including CNC, manual, robots, conveyors, moulders, furnaces and finishing equipment
- Reacting to urgent breakdowns, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
- Electrical repairs to motors, drives, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contactors, sensors
- PLC fault finding and interrogation to trace back faults
- Ensure adequate spares and parts are ordered correctly
- Following PPM's to ensure all equipment is routinely serviced and inspected
- Supporting the maintenance manager with facilitating the in house CMMS
We would love to hear from you if you've previously had the following experience and skills-
- Electrical bias maintenance engineer, maintenance electrician, electrical engineer
- Apprentice trained, or hold an electrical engineering qualification
- Be able to carry out repairs and breakdown response to capital equipment
- Understand and interpret electrical drawings
- Flexibility towards working a 3 shifts rota
Initially, the role would start on morning shifts for up to 6 months during training, once trained the position would then move to 40hrs per week rotating Morning, Afternoon & Nights Shifts Mon to Fri (Other than nights which is across Mon - Thurs only

As a UK agent to several German brands, their CNC machine tools are globally recognized. They have a strong network of service engineers across the UK, along with 2 additional technical support staff who are office-based. They have a head office here in the UK for operations and storage.
Responsibilities for the service engineer include -
They have over 15 trained technicians across the UK, along with 2 technical support staff at the end of the phone for troubleshooting support.
Product training provided, along with job shadowing with engineers in the team
We would love to hear from suitable candidates with the following skills and experience
- Previous experience as a CNC service engineer, or service technician
- Confidence with either electrical or mechanical breakdowns of machinery
- Experience working with either FANUC or Siemens controls
- Good knowledge of fault-finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspections
- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license
No call out is required with this role, weekend overtime has to be pre-authorized by both client and head office before being offered out to the team.

Once fully trained, this role would require someone flexible enough to work in the UK, Europe and sometimes worldwide depending on projects that are happening.
