An Industrial Cleaner is required to join a manufacturing company in the Aldridge area of Walsall. The company manufacture dies and tooling for the printing industry. It's a very clean environment and you will be responsible for helping keep it that way.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Cleaning shop floor factory environment
• Cleaning communal areas including toilets, canteens, changing rooms, etc.
• Emptying bins on site
• Operating cleaning equipment including a floor buffer (training provided)
• Any other duties as and when required

The hours of work for this role are; 6am - 2pm.

There is some flexibility with working hours but you will be working a permanent day shift, covering 8 hours per day, for example 7am - 3pm / 8am - 4pm.

The role pays £9.50 per hour to start with, increasing to £10.42 per hour as of 1^st April.

Your duties will include:

• Order picking of items from the stores, and transferring the parts to the mechanical build area for the fitters
• Replenishing the stores with parts
• Loading and unloading vehicles and trailers
• Using the stock system to print off order notes and to do basic stock tallies or check for discrepancies etc
• Assisting with dispatch area when required (only occasionally)

A valid FLT Counterbalance.

• Rate of pay is £11.79 p/h

Hours of work are 37.5hrs per week 7am - 4:15pm Mon to Thurs, and 7am - 12pm on Fri.

Overtime is time & 1/3 weekday (after 37,5 standard) time & Saturday

Ideal candidates will have experience in a manufacturing business and be willing to work rotational day shift and/or nights. You should have at least 1 year experience in production or manufacturing.

• A Counterbalance licence is desired for this role.

Your main duties will include:

• Operating various production machines
• Ensure machines run smoothly and products meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot any problems and ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
• Flag any issues you can't fix to the maintenance team
• Quality inspect parts

2 Rotating shift (one week of each)

• 06:00 until 14:00 - £11ph
• 14:00 until 22:00 - £12.51ph

OR NIGHT SHIFT

• 22:00 until 06:00 - £12.91ph

(2 weeks of training on days is required before moving to nights)

Please be aware if offered a contract, you may be required to work 3 shifts (AM, PM & NIGHTS)

• Anything over 40 hrs in the week paid @ x1.5
• Saturdays paid @ x1.5
• Sundays paid @ x2.0

• Test for leaks on high pressure compressors
• Fitting components such as conveyor belts, shafts, valves etc
• Using various power tools etc

The ideal candidate should have:

• Worked as a machine fitter/ tester, mechanical fitter, mechanics, assemblers
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
• Self motivated

This is a temp to perm role, meaning the company will look to take you on after 13 weeks.
