Working as an Research Engineer you will:
* Delivering integrated and automated solutions for particle characterisation on plant applications
* Fault find, deliver and ensure reading schematics whilst designing of PLC equipment's, layouts and motor circuits.
* Ensuring project requirements are achieved while meeting all necessary safety, compliance and technical standards. Fostering innovative design in the creative phases of projects and profession discipline in the detailed realisation of solutions.
* Familiarity with electrical panel design and a working knowledge of BSEN60204
and EN13849 is essential.
* Experience in industrial automation, control and instrumentation.
To be successful, we're looking for:
* Relevant Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
* Working experience writing PLC code with various design packages including: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and if you have exposure of working with electrical design packages including Eplan and Autocad Electrical.
* Strong understanding of design principles

A skilled thread roller vacancy has just become available with a well established engineering company in Wolverhampton. This business are offering job stability in what currently is a difficult employment market, along with a solid rate of pay, training opportunities and overtime when needed.
The business have been trading for over 50 years, with a strong client base within a number of industries including oil & gas. They manufacture precision components from customer orders, with a huge machining capacity which include both conventional and CNC.
On offer is an hourly rate of £10 - £12 p/h depending on experience, along occasional overtime, 28 days holiday, workplace pension and sick pay after probation period.
Working hours are 40hrs per week 6am - 2pm Monday to Friday
Duties for the role include -
Setting and operating a thread rolling machine to specification
Threading of cold forged blanks including fasteners and bolts
Adjusting of thread rolling dies and heads on the machine
Carrying out first off, in process and final inspections using measuring equipment
Working from 2D drawings
Following best practice and ensuring good housekeeping of the machine and work areas
