You'll will be required to travel regionally, and occasionally nationwide to install, commission and repair of CNC Grinding machinery, which are supplied to the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities for the Service Engineer include -
There is a robust training package that is largely based around job shadowing other CNC engineers to learn the products, how they're built, and all the machines come with manuals, software guidance and technical support from engineers at HQ. Occasional trips overseas to Germany for training and development too.
To be successful in this position, we're looking for the following previous experience and skills
- Previously a field service Engineer of capital equipment, ideally CNC or heavy industry machinery
- Hold a recognized mechanical qualification
- Have a solid understanding of how to fault find electrically
- Flexibility to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays
- Clean drivers license

Responsibilities for the service engineer include -
There are 23 trained technicians across the UK, along with 2 technical support staff at the end of the phone for troubleshooting support. Your role would remain regional in the East Midlands area, as the business prefer to keep you active in your own territory during breakdown & service visits.
Product training provided, along with job shadowing with engineers in the team
We would love to hear from suitable candidates with the following skills and experience
- Previous experience as a CNC service engineer, or service technician
- Mechanically bias, ideally holding an NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering
- Experience working with FANUC controls
- Good knowledge of fault-finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspections
- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license
No call out is required with this role, weekend overtime has to be pre-authorized by both client and head office before being offered out to the team.
Benefits including an excellent base salary of £46k depending on experience, salary review after 6 months increasing to £49,996, plus an OTE of £55K with overtime weekday / weekends, company vehicle with choice of van or hybrid car, mobile phone & laptop, 36 days holiday, private pension, healthcare, life assurance and yearly pay rises.
The business are prepared to be as flexible and supportive as possible, overnight stays and extensive travel is ideally kept to a minimum, but the business requires someone who is prepared to do both when necessary.
