A world class supplier of components and systems for prestige OEMs, are seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join their leading-edge manufacturing plant.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment and tooling.

Based in Scotland, this role is commutable from Glasgow, East Kilbride, Livingston, Cumnock, Biggar, and all surrounding areas.

As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include -

• Continually improving process, product and delivery performance, with the objective of improving the service provided by the Maintenance department and meeting departmental KPI's
• Being proactive in improving existing processes to prevent equipment/tooling breakdowns long term
• Performing equipment repair, in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Completing Equipment Preventative Maintenance on time
• Ensuring adherence to Quality Systems such as adherence to ISO and TS Systems
• Supporting the production department where required
• Improving internal and external customer related KPI's
• Ensuring housekeeping is in good order and 5s standards are followed consistently
• Advising production to stop in the event of serious Health & Safety or Technical issues

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will -

• Be a time served and qualified maintenance engineer with an electrical bias
• Have 17th or 18th Edition and Level 3 NVQ
• Have a minimum of 4 years electrical and mechanical experience
• Have the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with effective time management skills
• Have hydraulic experience and previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment - desirable but not essential

• A basic salary of up to £36,250
• 40 hours per week on a 3x shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am)
• OT paid at 1.5 x Monday - Saturdays and 2.0 x Sundays and Bank Holidays
