An Assistant Customer Service Manager role is available to join a large manufacturing company based in the Basingstoke office. This is an office-based position, working full time.

Duties of this Assistant Customer Service Manager role include;

• Supervising a small team of service engineers who are remotely based
• Handling incoming enquiries via phone and email
• Liaising with engineers and internal teams to resolve queries
• Schedule travel and hotel arrangements for engineers to visit on site
• Schedule engineers visits and liaise with customers to ensure a resolution is met
• Building and developing relationships with customers and ensuring all their requirements are met

Ideally you will have;

• Worked in customer service within manufacturing or engineering
• Technical customer service experience
• Previous experience managing a team who are remote/contractors

The role will be responsible for the day-to-day production, whilst striving for improvements across processes, achieving scrap, time and cost reductions.

As Injection Moulding Setter, your duties will include -

• Production tool changes, ensuring all setting parameters are within predefined limits
• Carrying out troubleshooting on any moulding, quality or processing issues
• Working with quality to ensure finished products meet customer specifications
• Taking part in improvement activities

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter, the ideal candidate will -

• Be an experienced plastic Injection Moulding Setter or Technician
• Have experience of troubleshooting and resolving process issues
• Have knowledge of a range of materials

• Conducting trials of new tools to achieve optimum performance
• Minimise machine downtime, scrap and other material wastage, and optimise setting conditions

Responsibilities for the service engineer include -

• Breakdown repairs and maintenance of CNC Machines including multi axis Mills and Lathes
• Routine service and inspections, as well as fault finding
• Carrying out mechanical and minor electrical repairs to ballscrews, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors
• Machine levelling and alignments
• Installation and commissioning of machinery on site
• Ordering of parts from the office, replacing and retrofitting
• Providing end user training and customer support both remotely and on site
• Travel from home to site covering regionally to your location on service and breakdown, but be prepared to travel nationally when installation & commissioning projects are required.

They have over 30 trained technicians across the UK, along with office based technical support staff at the end of the phone for troubleshooting support.

Product training provided, along with job shadowing with engineers in the team

We would love to hear from suitable candidates with the following skills and experience

- Previous experience as a CNC service engineer, or service technician
- Confidence with either electrical or mechanical breakdowns of machinery
- Experience working with either FANUC or Siemens controls
- Good knowledge of fault-finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspections
- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license

No call out is required with this role, weekend overtime has to be pre-authorized by both client and head office before being offered out to the team.

The business is one of the largest and most established companies throughout the world that specialize in the supply, installation, commission, and repair CNC Machines. They have a strong network of engineers across the UK, along with additional technical support staff who are office based. They have a HQ here in the UK as well as a global headquarters Worldwide.

Please note the salary range is broad, so for someone with little or no field experience, the salary would be at the lower end, but for a time served individual with more field experience, the salary range would be at the top end.

Responsibilities for the role include -

• Breakdown repairs and maintenance CNC Machines including Mills, Lathes, Grinders and purpose made equipment
• Routine service and inspections, as well as fault finding
• Carrying out both mechanical and electrical repairs to machinery including control panels
• Installation and commissioning of machinery on site
• Ordering of parts from the office, replacing and retrofitting
• Providing end user training and customer support both remotely and on site
• Travel from home to site covering a region of the south coast, ideally 2hrs travel from Dorset area

There are over 50 trained technicians across the UK, along with a large number of technical support staff at the end of the phone for troubleshooting support. Your role would remain regional in the South of the UK, as the business prefer to have engineers look after a region within 2hrs of where they live, rather than travelling all over the UK

Product training provided in the first 6 - 12 months too, along with job shadowing with their most experienced engineers

We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -

- Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance of CNC, Field Technician, CNC Engineer
- Electrically or Mechanically bias, ideally holding an NVQ level 3 in one of the disciplines
- Experience working CNC controls
- Good knowledge of fault finding, electrical and mechanical repairs
- Willingness to travel nationally on occasions, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license
