An Counterbalance FLT Driver is required for a large steel processing company based in the Cradley Heath area.

You will be responsible for moving steel around the workplace, operating overhead cranes & counterbalance forklift trucks and loading / unloading machinery including guillotines, saws and more.

You will be responsible for and your duties will include;

• Driving counterbalance forklift trucks (FLT's)
• Operating overhead cranes (experience is beneficial)
• Handling steel, long-product including bar and tube
• Loading and unloading machinery
• Loading and unloading vehicles for dispatch

You will be working two shifts rotating weekly, covering mornings and afternoons;

6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm

This FLT Driver role pays £10.57 per hour. They also pay £1.30 per hour shift allowance for hours worked before 7:00am and after 7:00pm, so an extra £6.50 on mornings and £19.50 on afternoons.

Your shift allowance will increase to £50 per week (£2500 per year) once you pass your 13 week probationary period.

The skills and experience required for this role include;

• Experience within manufacturing and assembly
• Assembling metal components for balconies

• General shop-floor maintenance tasks

This position is on a temp basis to begin with, working Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm, however flexibility is required to work overtime if required. If you do well you will be eligible for a permanent contract after a probationary period through the agency.

This role is paying £10.57 per hour.
