Responsibilities of this role include -

To help maintain the quality system on site, work on process development and scrap reduction.

Quality Engineer duties include -

• Review customer concerns, internal processes, and scrap rates.
• Work closely with all teams on site, to help ensure that the project requirements are in line with the internal Transition Process and document changes correctly.
• Investigate quality issues and produce written cause and corrective action responses.
• Apply the correct problem-solving tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5Y.
• Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory standards are adhered to.
• Assist with providing technical support to staff and driving continuous improvement.

Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience -

• Relevant experience within the Automotive sector.
• Systems experience - IATF 16949.
• Ability to demonstrate the use of tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• IT literate and analytical mindset.
• Mechanical education (HNC/HND) / relevant Six Sigma training.

You will be responsible for stacking, banding and palletising steel as it comes off the back end of a large press.

You will be responsible for and your duties will include;

• Banding steel on the back end of a press
• Stacking and palletising steel
• Driving counterbalance forklift trucks
• Moving packs of steel on the overhead crane
• Any other duties as and when required

You will be working a 4-day shift pattern, covering days and evenings;

6:00am - 4:00pm (Monday to Thursday)

4:00pm - 2:00am (Monday to Thursday)

The rate of pay for this role is £12.69 on the days and £14.43 per hour on the evening shift

This role is on a temp-to-perm basis.

You will be responsible for setting and operating their wide coil slitting line, as well as manoeuvring steel around the workplace, loading and unloading the machinery.

To be considered for this role you MUST have set and operated slitting lines, as well as operating overhead cranes.

You will be responsible for and your duties will include;

• Setting and operating wide coil slitting lines
• Operating overhead cranes
• Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
• Handling steel coil and processed steel
• Helping to load and unload slitting lines
• Any other duties as and when required

You will be working two shifts initially. 6am - 2pm days Monday to Friday / 4pm - 2am twilights Monday to Thursday, rotating weekly.

Your rates will be £13.32 on days and £15.14 on twilights / nights.

After a twelve week probationary period through the agency you will be eligible for a permanent contract, though you may spend a longer time on the agencies books.

A Press Setter is required for a large steel processing company based over in Oldbury.

In this role you will be responsible for setting and operating their large scale Fagor press, as well as manoeuvring steel around the workplace, loading and unloading the machinery and any other duties as and when required.

To be considered for this role you should be a press setter, with experience working on large machines. The machinery is state-of-the-art, so experience with Kuka robotics, robot welding, laser welding or similar would be beneficial.

You will be responsible for and your duties will include;

• Setting and operating a state-of-the-art coil fed power presses (up to 600 ton)
• Setting of both single and progression tooling on the machines
• Operating a pendant overhead crane to load/unload machinery with steel coil
• Working from engineering drawings and job specs to customer specification
• Quality checking using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges

You will be working two shifts initially. 6am - 4pm days / 4pm - 2am twilights Monday to Thursday, rotating weekly covering a 40 hour week.

Your rates will be £13.32 on days and £15.14 on twilights / nights.

• Work on new equipment delivery release within the Production Engineering function.
• Liaise and support projects, customer teams, and local manufacturing teams.
• Ensure that plant equipment is aligned to the required specification, is safe to use, and meets the plant layout and the production schedules agreed upon.
• Manage any SAP requirements, Bills of material accuracy, time studies, Engineering Changes, and improvements to support any SOPs.
• Review PFMEA's, including matching up with control plans, and lineside RFMEA involvement.
