An Overhead Crane Operator / Steel Bander is required for a steel processing company based in the Kingswinford area of the West Midlands.

This position is working on a temp to perm basis - with a permanent contract awarded after a probationary period proving you are a capable overhead crane operator.

Duties include:

• Operating an overhead crane to handle steel
• Assisting with loading / offloading steel on slitting lines
• Banding up processed steel
• General material handling duties

You will NOT need an Overhead Crane Operator licence as long as you have the experience.

This position is working one of two shifts (the choice is yours);

Fixed mornings: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 1:30pm finish on Fridays - Pays £9.94 per hour

Fixed days: 9:00am - 5:00pm - Pays £9.94 per hour

A General Operative / Labourer is required for a large steel processing company in the Kingswinford area.

As a general operative you will be responsible for a number of site duties, including general production work, painting around the production area, as well as general cleaning and tidying of the facility.

The duties include;

• Painting around the production areas
• Some production work, i.e. banding, stacking, etc.
• Tidying of industrial areas, cleaning, sweeping, etc.
• Any other duties as and when required

The hours for this role is working straight mornings of 6:00am - 2:00pm, paying £9.93 per hour to begin with.

If you do well and have good timekeeping & attendance then the company will train you up on other aspects of the shop-floor and you will move into a more production-based role.

To be their Logistics Manager you should have the following experience:

• To have worked as a Logistics Manager/ Warehouse Manager/Supply Chain Manager within a manufacturing industry, ideally within the automotive sector
• Practical understanding of import and export globally, including the relevant paperwork required for each product for each country
• To have an analytical mindset with the ability to use data to improve all areas of the department
• The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
• Overall, you shall be an all-rounder who has the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver work to the highest possible standards.

Candidates suitable for this role are already likely to hold the job title of Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Manager.
