A leading vehicle management business in Birmingham is currently undergoing change and is looking for a Fleet Manager to manage all aspects of running their fleet of around 200 vehicles.

The company has a mixed fleet including passenger vehicles, trucks, and trailers and it would be your responsibility to ensure that they are road worthy and that they meet customer requirements in terms of availability and delivery. A Steel Processor is required for a large steel processing company based in the Aston area of Birmingham.

You will be responsible for running the slitting line. Ideally, you will be an experienced slitter but any steel-based experience will be suitable.

You will be responsible for and your duties will include;

• Setting and operating a slitting line
• Working with stainless steel and aluminium
• Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
• Operating overhead cranes
• Loading and unloading the machinery

The starting rate of pay for this role is negotiable. As a minimum it will be in the region of £12.50 , but dependent on your experience you could be earning a significantly higher rate.

You will be working straight day shifts 7:30am - 4:15pm Monday to Friday, with a 1pm finish on Fridays, totalling 38.5 hours per week.

After a thirteen week probationary period through the agency you will be eligible for a permanent contract, though you should be prepared to work longer than this on the agency books.
