Shift Team Leader

£20000 - £23000 per annum

A Shift Team Leader position has just become available for a well-established Engineering business, located near the Birmingham area. Working through a period of growth, this well-regarded business will be paying a competitive starting salary, to a successful professional.

Shift Team Leader duties include -

  • Liaise & support Production Management with all production & manufacturing processes
  • Ensure production operatives are allocated correctly & quality standards are adhered to
  • Ensure all team members are trained and training Matrix's are updated with any changes
  • Be accountable for TPM's in relation to production line equipment
  • Review staff KPI's and Implement development plans where required
  • Manage absence, lateness and holidays for operatives
  • Ensure compliance with TS/IATF16949 and ISO1400 Quality Management Systems

Shift Team Leader desirable skills/experience/attributes -

  • Experience working within a similar management role.
  • Ideally, have experience within businesses supplying to the automotive sector.
  • Proactive work ethic and natural problem solver.
  • Flexibility with working shifts (midweek)

Injection Moulding Setter

£23000 - £28000 per annum

This busy injection moulding company supplying to a range of industries is currently seeking an Injection Moulding Setter to join their Mouldshop, working a days basis, Mon-Thurs (40 hours per week)

As Injection Moulding Setter, your duties will include -

  • Tool changing
  • Condition setting
  • Trouble shooting
  • Material handling

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter, the ideal candidate will have -

  • Experience of working in a busy injection moulding environment
  • The ability to set machines, with some experience of setting from zero parameters
  • Trouble shooting experience

On offer -

In return a salary of £23-28k is on offer, working 40 hours over Monday-Thursday

Toolmaker - Injection Mould

This well-established Tooling Company, that is set for substantial growth, is currently looking for 2 Injection Mould Toolmakers to join their highly skilled team, working on opposing double day shifts (one week earlies, one week lates). Tooling ranges in size from 250kg - 3000kg.

As Toolmaker, your duties will include -

  • Working on both existing tooling, through Modification, repair & servicing & New Tooling programs.
  • Use common tool room machinery including, manual lathes, manual mills, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, etc.

To be successful in the role of Tool Maker, the ideal candidate will -

  • Have experience with maintenance and/or manufacture of new injection mould tooling
  • Be experienced with conventional machining
  • Ideally have experience of CNC mills & lathes, or EDM & Wire Eroding.
  • Be comfortable with the use of an overhead gantry crane.
  • Be able to do mould polishing (aesthetic & for demoulding).
  • Be able to read technical drawings.

Based near Worthing, this role is commutable from Brighton, Horsham, and Chichester.

On offer

As well as working for a forward thinking company that are undergoing expansion, as salary of £30-35k is on offer, along with 4% pension, 31 days holiday, and the opportunity for further training and development.

Hours - rotating shifts, a week of earlies, then a week of lates. Monday to Friday, 6.30am-14.30pm and 14.30pm- 22.30pm.

Maintenance Works Engineer

This technical plastics moulding company is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Works Engineer to support the Manufacturing Manager, where you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the maintenance resource ensuring site equipment is maintained to a high standard of safety, availability and cost efficiency in line with the business needs.

As Works Engineer, you duties will include -

  • Management and support all engineering contractors.
  • Provide leadership and direction for a team of five engineers across 12/7 operation, ensuring safe systems of work, training and competence, whilst encouraging a continuous improvement culture.
  • Developing and improving the existing Engineering processes and methods in the production environment through data collection and problem solving techniques.
  • Ensuring appropriate records and documentation are kept in an organized manner.
  • Provisioning of cost efficient site maintenance services, and define/control of the TPM programme aligned to the business KPI's.
  • Ensuring compliance with all aspects of health and safety, providing assistance and advice to the team including carrying out appropriate risk assessments.

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Works Manager, the ideal candidate will -

  • Have experience of leading and motivating a maintenance team within a fast moving manufacturing environment.
  • Have experience of working within a plastics processing environment, preferably injection moulding.
  • Have either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.
  • Have experience of monitoring contracts, SLAs, overseeing contractors, service providers and suppliers.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset, particularly in the area of supporting Preventative Maintenance Planning.

On offer -

A salary of c£45k, working Monday to Friday, hours are 8am to 5.30pm.

Injection Moulding Technician

£27000 - £29300 per annum relocation assistance

Established over 60 years ago, this company that supplies household products across the world is currently seeing a Process Technician to join their Team.

Reporting to the Shift Leader and working on continental shifts (days and nights) you will provide a comprehensive support service to the Manufacturing team to ensure that all relevant processes are maintained to achieve output and business demands.

As Injection Moulding Technician your duties will include -

  • Ensuring Mould Setters / Mould Operators are trained and developed to attain consistent skills standards and approach to quality, machinery and health and safety.
  • Rectify processing problems using fault finding skills and document accordingly to ensure processes followed.
  • Introduce new products into plant in a structured, timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor equipment, troubleshoot and take preventative action to ensure machinery is kept in safe working order.
  • Carry out continuous improvement on cycle times and machine layouts.
  • Ensure optimisation of equipment and processes in conjunction with CI Engineer.

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Technician, the ideal Candidate will -

  • Have previous experience in a similar position and are fully conversant with injection moulding processes.
  • Have strong fault finding skills in both tools and products.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Have flexible approach to working hours, willing to work shifts, including night shift.

Based in Redruth, this role is commutable from Newquay, St Ives, St Austell, and Truro. Alternatively if you'd consider relocating to the South West then relocation assistance is available!

Injection Moulding Setter x4

£24000 - £26000 per annum

Established over 60 years ago, this company that supplies household products across the world is currently seeing 4 Injection Moulding Setters to join their Team.

Reporting to the Shift Leader and working on continental shifts (days and nights), you will safely change injection mould tools within all company Health and Safety procedures whilst maintaining good housekeeping, liaising with maintenance and tool room.

As Injection Moulding Setter your duties will include -

  • Liaise with Shift Leader ensuring achievement of mould Change requirements for each shift.
  • Set tool following correct standard sequence.
  • Carry out "First off" process ensuring parts produced are of suitable standard.
  • Safely transport moulds between tool racking and machines as required. Be responsible for safe assessment of lifting tackle and equipment and maintenance of correct tagging.
  • Remove faulty tools to tool room to minimise machine downtime.

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Technician, the ideal Candidate will -

  • Have previous experience in a similar position and are fully conversant with injection moulding processes.
  • Be technically qualified in the operating of Injection moulding equipment and ancillaries.
  • Have extensive knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes, good basic engineering and pipe fitting skills and basic knowledge of robots.
  • Be licenced in Counterbalance Truck Driving, Reach Conversion Truck Driving and Overhead Crane operating.
  • Have flexible approach to working hours, willing to work shifts, including night shift.

Production Operations Manager - Injection Moulding

£40000 - £50000 per annum 6% pension, Life Ass.

Due to continued growth and expansion this well-established manufacturing company on the south coast near Brighton are currently seeking a Production Operations Manager to join their team, where the primary responsibility will be the all-round management of the production facility, providing necessary production support to both Injection moulding and production.

As Production Operation Manager, the ideal Candidate -

  • Responsible for the day to day management and co-ordination of production and distribution operations.
  • Maintain and implement standards according to 6s, Kaizen, TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance), SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) and other initiatives.
  • Manage a program of continuous improvement and introduce lean manufacturing methodology
  • Ensure products are manufactured to the correct quality and specification.

To be successful in the role of Production Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will -

  • Have experience within the Injection Moulding industry
  • Have experience of managing and developing a production team
  • Have a clear understanding of lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Likely already hold the job title of Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Mouldshop Manager, or Operations Manager.

Based in Worthing, this role is commutable from Bognor, Chichester, Brighton and Horsham.

On offer -

A salary of £40-50k depending on experience, 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, up to 6% pension, and Life assurance.

Hours 8.00am-17.30pm, Mon to Friday.

This well-established Plastics manufacturing company is currently seeking a Senior Setter/ Technician to join their mouldshop.

Working on a days' basis Mon-Fri in a busy mouldshop containing over 25 machines, your duties will include -

  • Changing tools & Condition setting
  • Trouble shooting processing and tooling issues
  • Optimising processes

To be successful in the role of Senior Setter/Technician, the ideal Candidate will -

  • Be an experienced Setter, Technician or Process Engineer with a strong background in injection moulding
  • Have exposure to a range of polymers
  • Be able to set machinery from scratch, effectively troubleshoot, and identify scrap/cost savings

Salary of £27-33k depending on experience.

This well-established manufacturer of plastic products is currently seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter Technician to join their team on a 3 shift basis, Monday to Friday.

Working at their modern facility, with the mouldshop machinery ranging from 22-500T, as setter Technician your duties will include -

  • Condition setting
  • Tool changing
  • Troubleshooting
  • Working with robots

To be successful in the role for injection Mould Setter Technician, the ideal candidate -

  • Must have experience within injection moulding
  • Will be able to set machines, ideally from scratch
  • Be able to troubleshoot moulding issues

On offer -

  • Starting salary of £25-28k depending on salary
