Are you an experienced Freelance CAD Technician looking for a new opportunity?

The main responsibilities for the Freelance CAD Technician are:


Home working may be possible subject to initial performance;
In-house training given to produce Zone of Theoretical Visibility models and maps of development projects
In-house training given to produce wireframe and rendered photomontages of development projects to best practice standards

CAD Engineer responsibilities.

  • Oversee handover documents received from sales, sometimes receiving a face to face handover on complex projects.
  • Attend site when required to survey layout drawings.
  • Preparation of layouts, General arrangement and details drawings.
  • Bill of materials.
  • Order items on bill of materials.
  • Complete documentation such as maintenance manuals

CAD Engineer - Requirements

  • Ideally, you will have a background in designing conveyors/systems. Could be anything from (Roller, Slat or Modular). Or experience with design automation equipment or manufacturing equipment.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Experience with Solidworks / Inventor / AutoCAD 3D/2D (Solidworks the preferred option).

Mechanical Design Engineer

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

A unique specialist manufacturing company seek a Mechanical design engineer to join a team with a multitude of experience.

Do you thrive in fast-paced projects, working concept to production? Are you experienced in the design of machine tooling? Do you like the idea of working in a long established company providing to a world market?

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have experience in machine tools design (CNC machinery) and excellent skills in 3D CAD Design.

Responsibilities

  • Create designs from concept to drawings
  • BOM's.
  • Redevelop drawing formats using Inventor (preferred) /Solidworks CAD system database to standardise drawings.
  • Improve existing designs to achieve the use of common components whilst improving quality, reducing assembly times and cost.
  • Design products including sub-assemblies, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Design of hydraulic and pneumatic systems etc.
  • 3D Modelling and Drafting on Autodesk Inventor 2015
  • Create drawings of manufactured components and castings.

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will possess skills and experience with some/all of the following:

  • A strong background in 3D Cad Design, FEA, GD&T experience within the design of machine tools.
  • Experience in selecting motors, calculating inertia.
  • HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Thrive of working in demanding surrounds, whilst achieving results and output to a quality standard.

The Job

  • To develop and design new products expanding company range
  • Be a key player in shaping the new product road-map, generating new product ideas and seeing them come into fruition

The Successful Candidate

UK Project Engineering Manager Experience & Responsibilities

  • Ability to demonstrate your engineering design experience over a broad range of disciplines in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Proven ability to produce high quality engineering output using a broad range of design tools and systems (e.g. CAD).
  • Have extensive commercial awareness and experience within a commercial project engineering organisation.
  • Validation experience in the pharmaceutical, hazardous area (ATEX) or similar regulated industries is desirable.

  • Hands-on, practical manufacturing, installation and commissioning experience is required, alongside familiarity with industrial site work and the safe and skilled use of hand tools.

You, the Senior Design Engineer, will be accountable for designing Aerospace hybrid and composite structures, based on customer specifications to programme and budget. You can also expect to be relied on for Manufacturing Drawings, Qualification plans, tests and reports.

Involvement in external/internal reviews is also expected.

Must have experience

  • Degree or HND Qualified in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Examples of capability in the design of composite materials.
  • Conversant with aerospace composite design practice.
  • Skilful in the use of CAD systems, CATIA V5 or similar.
  • 2 years of post-grad experience

Desirable Skills (Not essential but preferred)

  • Stress analysis of composite components using FEA software
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for fibre reinforced plastic and thermoplastic materials
  • Knowledge of anti-icing and de-icing of structures for the aerospace industry

Manufacturing Support Consultant

£35000 - £40000 per annum

A leading supplier of a dassault systemes CAD/PLM systems in the Automotive,Aerospace and motorsport sectors, has a vancancy for a experinced Manufacturing Support Consultant.

The role is varied involving:

  • Consulting and support, both on site and off site, in the use and application of Dassault Systemes CATIA or DELMIA manufacturing software with our many and varied customers
  • Training customers in the use of the manufacturing software applications
  • Development and advice on best practice in manufacturing process and CAM programming
  • Development of post processors using ICAM application development tool kit

Typical experience we are looking for is someone who has had a similar role or who has had experience in programming in a manufacturing company using the Dassault Systemes platform and with a broad understanding of different machine controls. Experience in post processor development would be an advantage, but we would be willing to train any applicant who shows the desire and commitment to develop these skills.

A role for a design engineer working on exciting and highly complex programmes specialising in microelectronic products that are high performing for harsh environments, has recently become available.

You can be expected to work alongside highly talented engineering and production teams who have the expertise to transform an idea into a fully tested and qualified high reliability, high quality.

Your main responsibilities and duties will include:

  • To outline, design and develop Optoelectronic products for harsh environment applications, manufacturing processes and testing systems.
  • Perform and report verification testing of prototype product
  • Transfer products from NPI to Manufacture
  • Undertake identified aspects of the design and development of new products
  • Actively improve or optimise aspects of design, function or processing of existing key products
  • Support other departments with urgent issues relating to existing designs or testing, and to formulate effective solutions
