Automation Engineer

£45000 - £49000 per annum

A global leader in the manufacture of dispensing solutions is currently seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team. Working autonomously, your role will include continuous improvement, providing support to maintenance, and leading new projects.

£45,000-£49,000 depending on experience

Working a Panama shift, rotating between days and nights (every other weekend off)

As Automation Engineer your duties will include -

  • Participating/Leading in Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Root cause analysis using Lean Manufacturing tools.
  • Managing and coordinating purchase requisitions, project documentation (e.g., cycle time trials, SAT's, FAT's) & sampling data review process.
  • Leading, coordinating, managing, and supervising the delivery and sampling of new cells (Automation/ Robotics).
  • Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems, resolving all problems (robots, automation assembly).
  • Provide support to Manufacturing, Maintenance, QA, Customer Services, Supply Chain & the Tool Room, with technical assistance.

To be successful in the role of Automation Engineer the ideal candidate will have -

  • An Engineering biased qualification -HNC/ONC or equivalent.
  • Industrial automation experience (continuous Motion / Rotational) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge/experience of plastics manufacturing/processing such as blow moulding, extrusion, thermoforming or injection moulding.
  • A strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and Tools.
  • The ability to lead Root cause analysis working with suppliers and customers.
  • Experience in Project management.

Maintenance Engineer

£38000 - £43000 per annum

A global manufacturer of high-technology products and systems are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

The Maintenance Engineer will assist with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), general maintenance and upkeep of site machinery, services and equipment, ensuring production continues to run efficiently with minimum disruption.

 

 

As a Maintenance Engineer your duties will include, but are not limited to -

  • Diagnosing, fault finding and repair of Medium/Heavy industrial plant and machinery
  • Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections
  • Developing and implementing modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery
  • Working to a 2-shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays.

 

We are keen to hear from any Maintenance Engineer candidates who have -

  • Completed a recognised, certificated manufacturing/production/industrial apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance
  • A minimum of NVQ level 3 / ONC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Significant experience with electrical maintenance within manufacturing / production / industrial environments
  • Experience with PLC's (Siemens, Allen Bradley & Omron used on site)
  • Experience using software to interface or diagnose faults on plant and machinery
  • Experience maintaining AC and DC motors, electronic drives, pumps etc.
  • An ability to read machine and plant drawings

Service Engineer

£35000 - £40000 per annum Company car, paid door-to-door, paid OT

A global leader in automation solutions for production environments is actively seeking to hire an Installation / Service Engineer to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Service Manager, the installation / service engineer will take care of the service, installation, start-up, commissioning and training of equipment supplied to customers throughout the UK and Ireland

 

As a Service Engineer your duties will include, but are not limited to -

  • An initial training and coaching phase, where you will shadow members of the current engineering team. The duration of which will vary depending on the level of preparation and knowledge of the candidate.
  • Excellent communication, relating with customers and for accurate internal reporting.
  • Equipment installation, start-up, commissioning and training.
  • Maintenance of equipment at customers' premises.
  • Service administration tasks.
  • Regular travel will be required during the working week.

 

To be successful in the role of Service Engineer, the ideal Candidate -

  • Must have technical training in mechanical / electrical engineering and be electrically qualified.
  • Will ideally have previous work experience within industrial manufacturing, although candidates without may also be considered.
  • Will show resourcefulness, good organisational and time management skills.
  • Will ideally have a working knowledge and understanding of plastic injection moulding machines and automation.
  • Should be personable and helpful with a focus on assisting customers and colleagues

 

On offer -

  • A basic salary of £35 - 40K, depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday with occasional planned weekend work
  • Overtime paid at time and ½ Saturday, double time Sundays
  • Long working day bonus - anything over 10 hours is £33 a day
  • Additional £125 per month to cover one weekend in five for the 24/7 call out service (rare - no call outs so far this year)

 

In addition -

  • A company car (brand new Scova Octavia) provided for business and personal use
  • Accommodation and subsistence expenses will be covered by the company (usually upfront, or a float will be given)

A leading supplier with a global presence who specialise in the design and manufacture of parts for the automotive industry are seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer (Team Leader) to join their team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will provide a comprehensive maintenance service throughout the factory, working on a variety of machine applications within established high volume manufacturing processes, whilst supporting and managing the teams performance

 

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include -

  • Leading technical resolutions to production issues and escalating major concerns
  • Liaising with production management to provide technical support based on production priorities
  • Managing the performance of your team, leading using visual management
  • Supporting your teams' requirements (PPS, spares ordering, supplier interaction)
  • Managing clear communication with other senior engineers
  • Managing closure of outstanding work orders and PM activities
  • The installation and maintenance of all plant and machinery/equipment, ensuring all safety requirements are met and adhered to.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Diagnosing and analytically solving machine related problems.
  • Using 4 styles of management as appropriate, generating Kaizen ideas and practising 6S tools daily

 

To be successful in the role of Senior Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will -

  • Have served a recognised apprenticeship in maintenance or equivalent
  • Be HNC qualified, or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Have injection moulding experience
  • Have Supervisory / Management experience including PDCA cycle

Production Operative

£11 - £13 per hour

We are currently recruiting production operatives for a renowned first tier manufacturer of automotive parts sold globally near the RICOH ARENA IN COVENTRY.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a manufacturing business and be willing to work rotational day shift and/or nights. You should have at least 1 year experience in automotive production or manufacturing.

Your main duties will include:

  • Operating various production machines
  • Ensure machines run smoothly and products meet quality standards
  • Troubleshoot any problems and ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
  • Flag any issues you can't fix to the maintenance team
  • Quality inspect parts

2 Rotating shift (one week of each)

  • 06:00 until 14:00 - £11ph
  • 14:00 until 22:00 - £12.51ph

Please be aware if offered a contract, you may be required to work 3 shifts (AM, PM & NIGHTS)

  • Anything over 40 hrs in the week paid @ x1.5
  • Saturdays paid @ x1.5

Electrical Design Engineer

£35000 - £40000 per annum

A business that provides fully engineered, manufactured and fitted solutions to industrial and automotive customers across the globe, is now seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.

A salary in the range of £35,000-£40,000, 25 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays.

Hours of work 08:30 to 17:00, 13:00 finish on Friday.

This role will encompass creating electrical designs for PLC controlled machinery generated from sales specifications, in collaboration with mechanical and software design engineers and in accordance with ISO 9001 accreditation.

As Electrical Design Engineer, your duties will include -

  • Production of manufacturing drawings using ePlan and AutoCad.
  • Producing comprehensive bills of materials and the procurement of all required materials
  • Managing budgets
  • Overseeing assembly of equipment in the workshop
  • Documenting in house build and test procedures
  • Documenting installation and commissioning procedures for use at customer's premises
  • Occasional travel to customer's premises, applicable industrial exhibitions and training centres.

  • Have experience of electrical design work in a similar industry
  • Hold a relevant qualification for Electrical Design

Material Handler

£10 - £12 per hour

We are currently recruiting for materials handler / FLT driver for a large manufacturing company in Redditch.

The ideal person will have factory and warehouse experience, able to be quick on their feet - making sure material bins at the front of each line hold the required stock; this job is to ensure they remain stocked up with the required parts and assembly kits.

Working hours for this role are:

  • 7.30am until 4.15pm Monday to Thursday
  • 7.30am until 12:00 on Fridays

Rate of pay is £10.50 - rising to £11.22 after 12 weeks

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Picking and packing stock
  • Driving truck to move pallets around site
  • Wrapping pallets
  • Loading and unloading
  • General maintaining of work space
