Maintenance Engineer

With a solid history of continuous and consistent growth, this successful and innovative business that design, develop and manufacture components for global OEMs, are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance support including repairs to machinery, plant and facilities.

As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include -

  • Preventative and scheduled maintenance and repairs of manufacturing machinery, plant and facilities
  • Electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems fault finding and diagnostics, assessing root cause failure mode

We are keen to speak to anyone who has -

  • Previous experience working as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer or Electrical Engineer
  • Completed an electrical apprenticeship or similar electrical qualifications
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Good fault finding and diagnostic skills

On offer for the successful Maintenance Engineer -

A salary of £35 - 40K

3 shift rotation 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am nights

Material Handler

£10 - £12 per hour

We are currently recruiting for materials handler / FLT driver for a large manufacturing company in Redditch.

The ideal person will have factory and warehouse experience, able to be quick on their feet - making sure material bins at the front of each line hold the required stock; this job is to ensure they remain stocked up with the required parts and assembly kits.

Working hours for this role are:

  • 7.30am until 4.15pm Monday to Thursday
  • 7.30am until 12:00 on Fridays

Rate of pay is £10.50 - rising to £11.22 after 12 weeks

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Picking and packing stock
  • Driving truck to move pallets around site
  • Wrapping pallets
  • Loading and unloading
  • General maintaining of work space
  • making sure production lines are filled with stock at all times

  • some dispatch

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer is the maintenance and repair of manufacturing facilities, associated infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, ensuring production continues to run efficiently with minimum disruption.

As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include -

  • Maintaining all plant machinery to ensure safe, continual and efficient operations.
  • Ensuring that periodic and preventive maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished
  • Prioritising responsibilities to ensure breakdowns and repairs are conducted efficiently and cost effectively
  • Troubleshooting and resolving both mechanical and electrical issues
  • Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will -

  • Be a time served and qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, or Electrical Engineer
  • Be Multi-Skilled with an electrical bias, with experience of working in an engineering manufacturing environment
  • Have the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with effective time management skills

Assembly Operator

We are currently recruiting for production operatives for a prestigious automotive manufacturer in the Moons Moat area of Redditch.

40 hours per week across 2 shifts (rotating) -

  • Week 1 - AM (6am until 2pm)
  • Week 2 - PM (2pm until 10pm)

  • Work as part of a team to build production parts / assemblies.

  • Carry out basic testing and quality checks.
  • Ensure work instructions are followed at all times to ensure 100% quality products.
  • Liaise with stores and quality team to maintain good quality parts supply to manufacturing area.
  • Ensuring work areas and machinery are cleaned and maintained.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Be able to work both independently and within a Team.

A global business who use insights, design, engineering and science to create innovative packaging technologies to improve everyday life for people everywhere, are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work as a support function to the production department.

Based in Leeds, this role is commutable from Huddersfield, Bradford, Wetherby, Rotherham and surrounding areas.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer your duties will include, but are not limited to -

  • Joining the current team of 5 Engineers, the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Perform the day-to-day electrical maintenance of plant and equipment, to include moulding and assembly machinery, to ensure continuity of Production, consistent with the Company's goals and needs.
  • Assist with the maintenance program (TPM) for all plant and/or equipment.(hydraulics, robots, ancillary machines automatic assembly)
  • Dismantle, inspect and overhaul equipment, as required by preventive maintenance program and production schedules.
  • Acquire and develop advanced knowledge of electronics and programming of Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Validate new plant, equipment, automation and upgrades.
  • Process / Equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis
  • Ensure all items of plant and/or equipment is in good safe working order.
  • Identify opportunities for new technology/automation.
  • Maintain a high standard of record keeping for all repairs and servicing of plant and/or equipment as required for audit, traceability and warranty purposes, in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Strive to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and equipment through working with other departments, suppliers and internal personnel, whilst being consistent with the buesinesses Core Values.
  • Be flexible in your approach to duties in accordance with the requirements of the business.

To be successful in the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer, the ideal Candidate will have -

  • City & Guilds (or equivalent) Levels 1, 2 & 3 in Electrical Engineering
  • Mechatronics qualification
  • Must have experience in Injection Moulding, preferably within a high pressure manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Injection Moulding tooling and with multi-cavity moulds highly desirable

On offer

A salary of up to £37k depending on experience.

Panama shift pattern of 12 hours (6am-6pm/6pm-6am) which follows a 4 week pattern

  • Thermoforming or packaging machinery (desired) or experience working on Automation machinery.
  • Ability to read & produce technical drawings whilst using 3D Design Deliverables (SolidWorks preferred).
